MILITARY SPOTLIGHT ALAN SHIELDS 1965 Alan Shields graduated from Wilson in 1965. He served in the US Air Force for 23 years (4 active duty, 19 reserves). Alan was a Traffic Management Officer in Vandenberg AFB, CA from 1969 to 1971; the Chief of Transportation, Incirlik AB in Turkey from 1971 to 1973; a Squadron Operations Officer, 83rd Aerial Port Squadron in Portland IAP, OR from 1979 to 1986; and a Staff Logistics Officer, HQ US Forces Japan, Yokota AFB in Japan from 1986 to 1997.
