CHARLES "CHUCK" FOX (1974)
US Marine Corps

Chuck Fox graduated from Wilson in 1974, playing football and baseball. He served in the US Marine Corps from 1974 to 1978 and is a Vietnam veteran. Chuck played football and baseball while at Wilson. When he entered military service, Chuck was a private (E-1). By the time his enlistment was up he gained the rank of sergeant (E-5). Chuck was on two operations at the end of the Vietnam war in 1975. Operation (Eagle Pull) & (Frequent Wind) for the evacuation of Saigon & Phnom Penh. He was attached to HMH 463 helicopter squadron, out of Hawaii, and spent two years there. After Chuck left the service he joined the army reserves in 1983 and was a Corporal (E-4). After five years, he was promoted to a senior Drill Instructor, Sergeant First Class (E-7), with the 104th training division at Fort Vancouver barracks in Washington.
